Day 8 (September 20, 2017) Lebanese-Nigerian cultural relations

Sites: Mizyara (Transfer from the Cedars Institute back to Notre Dame University – Louaize)

We had lecture by Dr. Mahammed Taan on the Lebanese migration to West Africa at the beginning of the 20th Century. After the lecture, we toured round the city of Mizyara – “the Nigerian city in Lebanon.’ This city was built and inhabited by the Lebanese-Nigerians. It was really great. The beauty of the city testifies that the Lebanese-Nigerians have actually the think-home mentality. They love their country and endeavored to contribute to the development of their country even while living in Nigeria.
