Sponsor a Campaign

The Foundation program is pursued in practical developmental stages. Its strategies include:

Adopt-a-Pen: Residential sponsorship for budding writers

Adopt-a-Mentorship: Close interactive sessions between seasoned local and international practitioners in their artistic disciplines and junior WSF Residential Fellows.

Adopt-a-Troupe: Sponsorship for small sized residential drama / musical troupes for intensive
rehearsals and Script Adaptations

Adopt-a-Brush: Residential Sponsorship for up and coming Visual Artists

Adopt-a-Mind: For private research residency in various disciplines - History, Traditional
Religions, African Philosophy, Architecture etc.

Adopt-a-Muse: A period dedicated exclusively to productivity in any of the Creative Arts.

Adopt-a-Play: Sponsorship of a play/opera/musical that profoundly embodies the ideals of the
Wole Soyinka Foundation – social pluralism, tolerance, freedom of belief, expression, and interculturalism.

Adopt-a-Workshop/Seminar: This would apply to any topical issue or creative skills.

Activities have commenced with the induction of the pioneer set of Junior Fellows for 2015, a year which, fortuitously, has been designated the take-off year for UNESCO’s International Decade of Peoples of African Descent. Within its resources, the Foundation will play a creatively inspirational role in this global mission to explore, celebrate, and re-vitalize the contributions of Africa and her Diaspora to world civilization.
