Press Conference (September 11, 2017)

The Wole Soyinka Foundation, which is one of the sponsoring foundation, organized a press conference in September 11 2017 at Freedom Square Lagos for participants.  It was a nice kick-off event for the SAIL Program. The conference also afforded me an opportunity to set eyes on the great Nigerian playwright and poet; Prof. Akinwande Oluwole Babatunde Soyinka and his amiable wife Mrs. Folake Soyinka. An important personality and facilitator of the SAIL Project- Dr. HabibJafaar was equally present at the conference.                                                                           

Speaking at the conference, the Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka said that this was the second edition of the program. The first was last year 2016 when five Nigerians were sponsored for the SAIL program.  This being the second edition of the project had an increase in the number of participants, with the hope that there would be a larger number of participants next year.
